A lot of themes, e.g. single-page themes, that create a customized demo for their theme by utilizing the exampleSite directory don't have a need for the content folder.

If content/ is absent the build script raises an error and doesn't generate a theme demo. To circumvent this problem the content folder has to be made trackable by version control systems by adding an empty dummy file like exampleSite/content/.gitkeep. It would be better to avoid this workaround in the beginning by modifying the build script accordingly.
