cmd/doc: make doc skip directories with no *.go files when looking for a package directory #10882

kostya-sh opened this issue May 17, 2015 · 1 comment

Copy link

go doc stops looking for a package directory at the first directory with the same name as the specified package name. E.g.:

$ go get
$ go doc thrift
doc: no buildable Go source files in /home/ksh/work/go/src/

Given that if a directory doesn't contain any *.go files it cannot contain package sources "go doc" can filter out such directories during search.
