From http://golang.org/pkg/fmt/:

%e  scientific notation, e.g. -1234.456e+78
%E  scientific notation, e.g. -1234.456E+78

while it should be (one non-zero digit before decimal point):

%e  scientific notation, e.g. -1.234567e+78
%E  scientific notation, e.g. -1.234567E+78
