go1: internal compiler error: in do_get_tree, at go/gofrontend/expressions.cc:1175 #1330

What steps will reproduce the problem?

gccgo -c bork2.go with:

package bork2
type fooMap struct {}
func (m *fooMap) get() *Foo {}

What is the expected output?

not an internal compiler error

What do you see instead?

bork2.go:3:1: error: control reaches end of non-void function
bork2.go:3:25: error: use of undefined type ‘Foo’
go1: internal compiler error: in do_get_tree, at go/gofrontend/expressions.cc:1175
