The default is /usr/local/go, but it would be nice if it could do the right things if
you elect to install elsewhere.

To my knowledge this is a limitation of Mac OS X .pkg system. Another limitation is that
there's no uninstall (NeXTSTEP had an uninstall script which still works on Mac OS X).
