I'm very rarely seeing crashes when using services from c-shared hosted in a .NET process, when calling svc.Stop, to the tune of:

Application: demo-client.exe
CoreCLR Version: 5.0.921.35908
.NET Version: 5.0.9
Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception.
Exception Info: exception code c0000005, exception address 00007FF9286BCFC8

Disassembling, that matches:

Apparently our TLS slot has been zeroed by something?
