What is the path of the package that you would like to have removed?

all modules under github.com/4rcode

Are you the owner of this package?

Yes

What is the reason that you could not retract this package instead?

messed up the modules while renaming/moving/making private/etc...

Thanks!

Sorry for the delay. Can you prove you own the 4rcode github org?

Actually, before that: have you tried retracting the modules as described at https://go.dev/about#removing-a-package?

  1. what kind of proof do you accept? is the following enough? https://github.com/orgs/4rcode/people
  2. I am not interested in retracting versions/modules at this stage, I'd like them to be completely removed, because they were part of a series of experiments and learning activities. In case I need, I can always add them again later if necessary, am I correct? By the way, no one is actually using them except me, at least I believe so.

Done.

Hi @jba ,

I've recently noticed that google doesn't just cache the contents of the git repos, but also the hash sums of each version in the sumdb mirror. I found online a workaround to disable the use of both the proxy and the sumdb via GOPROXY and GOSUMDB.
However I'd like to know if there's an official way to get rid completely of any information about a repo from proxy.golang.org, sum.golang.org, and index.golang.org.

I genuinely didn't know that since go version 1.13 the proxy was actively collecting data.

Regards
Sam

I don't believe there is. @heschi might know more.

There isn't, sorry. I mean this genuinely, not sarcastically: if the modules are experiments and learning activities, I suggest you forget about them. They're not hurting anyone. Just don't reuse the names.
