crypto/tls: TestConnReadNonzeroAndEOF fails or hangs

go test -short crypto/tls -test.run ConnReadNonzeroAndEOF -test.cpu=$(perl -e 'print
("1,"x99)."1"')
never passes on my MacBook Pro. Typically five or so of the tests fail.

Once in a while (rarely) the test completely hangs instead.
