encoding/gob: panic: "unknown type in isZero" on unexported interface with custom en/decoder #7741

Go panics: "panic: unknown type in isZero main.AnInterface"

>What should have happened instead?
Gob encoding should have proceeded.

This seems to make it impossible to have custom en/decoders on structs that contain an
interface.
