Planner - set max of cycles

Hi,
I'm looking into the PlanReActPlanner or BuiltInPlanner, used with gemini-2.5-flash. Is there a settings to set the maximum number of cycles/steps the planner can make? I'm aware of the thinking budget, but I've been asked to focus on the number of steps instead, to avoid the planner to loop too many times.
