Have you determined that the problem is definitely caused by pests? For example, could it be disease? I admit I am not an expert in produce cultivation.

I used to administer pests in the early 90's, but then I stopped trying to treat windows as a networked operating system, thinking of it only as a gaming platform, and things got a lot easier.

Sadly, my personal experience in this area extends only to stone fruit, citrus, ficus, rosaceae, and fruits of the nightshade family. That said, to my untrained eye, it looks like your guava trees are suffering from a fungal infection such as pestalotia psidii. If that's the case you will need to treat your trees with a fungicide such as Tiabendazole (TBZ). Alternatively, you can try neem oil if you want to stay organic.
