Currenntly there is no possibility to explicit override max and offset params in GSP params attribute of tag g:sortableColumn. This is fixed now.

No. I work with github directly. If you want to, I can open the issue or open a new one yourself.

@athlan Please open a JIRA issue describing the reason for this change. I'd like to see a test case that shows that problem and that gets fixed by this PR since I didn't understand the change.
I'll close this PR since it's targeted to grails:master branch. Please re-open new PR for Grails 2.3.x or 2.4.x branch (2.3.x branch gets currently merged in to 2.4.x branch so there isn't a need to open separate PRs for both 2.3.x. and 2.4.x)
