┌─────────────────────────────────────────────────┐ │ Parallax Laser Range Finder │ │ │ │ Author: Joe Grand │ │ Copyright (c) 2011 Grand Idea Studio, Inc. │ │ Web: http://www.grandideastudio.com │ │ Technical Support: support@parallax.com │ │ │ │ Distributed under a Creative Commons │ │ Attribution 3.0 United States license │ │ http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/us/ │ └─────────────────────────────────────────────────┘ Program Description: This design uses an Omnivision OVM7690 640x480 CMOS CameraCube module, a laser diode, and a Parallax Propeller microcontroller to create a low-cost laser range finder. Distance to a targeted object is calculated using triangulation by simple trigonometry between the centroid of laser light, camera, and object.
