This directory contains the complete source 
release for GRASS 4.3.  

The large file grass4.3src.tar.gz is the whole source
release in a single file.  You will need gunzip 
to uncompress the file.  Then simply type the 
following commands:

        gunzip grass4.3src.tar.gz  

	tar -xvf grass4.3src.tar  

This will create the necessary directories and
files for you to compile and run GRASS.  You will 
need to follow the instructions in the INSTALL file
to compile.
