Okay, so somewhere between putting hearts in pounds sterling (i.e., going waaaay over capacity) and leaving my nephews alone in a room with it, the heart penny punch and die are damaged. The die rotated under the punch and sheared off a bit. It's clearest at the bottom tip of the heart. The result is fairly bad burring. I'm talking to Mike from Cleveland Punch and Die about repairing ($75) or replacing ($345) the set. This has been a huge hit, so I think it's worth fixing ... and then being more careful with in the future. :-/

The guy from Cleveland Punch was like, "wait until they turn 16 and you give them the car!" :)

Sounds like they think they can fix it! Also they've recommended Loctite Blue:

Discussing whether to also put a flat (or two?) on the die so the set screw functions.

We ended up resharpening the set. Not perfect but close enough.
