After the install countdown, clicking the Install button does nothing. The window stays open; the Install button stays clickable.

Greasemonkey: 0.9.8
Firefox: 3.6.18
(Mozilla Firefox for Ubuntu canonical - 1.0)
OS: Ubuntu 10.10

Does anything show in the Error Console?

@srawlins

Nothing shows up in the Error Console :(

That will be tough to diagnose. Does the same bug happen in a fresh profile?

@srawlins

I will do the fresh profile bit next. For now:

Compiled mine own Firefox 5.0.1 (calls itself Aurora) and Greasemonkey works fine. I kind of feel like just sticking to this browser now and forgetting my aptitude-installed Firefox 3.6. And therefore I'm not too motivated to pursuing this bug. Are you, arantius? I'd be fine closing this unless you're curious.

Cannot reproduce on: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686 (x86_64); en-US; rv:1.9.2.18) Gecko/20110614 Firefox/3.6.18. This on Ubuntu 10.04, standard build of Firefox (not Canonical's).

Cannot reproduce on Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.2.18) Gecko/20110628 Ubuntu/10.04 (lucid) Firefox/3.6.18 ("Mozilla Firefox for Ubuntu canonical - 1.0") still on 10.04.

Ah, but reproduced on a completely fresh profile. Nothing in the error console. This will be fun.

Latest dev versions are not exhibiting this (why my first attempts failed to reproduce; I was using the dev profile). I'm going to leave this as is, in the 0.9.9 milestone still just to remember to test that this is really true.

NVM. Confirmed. Public 0.9.8 build broken, pending 0.9.9 works. Dunno where the failure came from, but it will be fixed soon.
