You probably read about the issues USO is having. As a result of that there are now 2 alternatives in development: Greasy Fork & OpenUserJS.

I know they don't have the database like USO has, but I think we need to consider changing the links in Monkey menu > Websites & Add-on Manager > "Get user scripts"-button.

One solution is to make a page on greasespot.net where all collection sites are linked.

Basic page created.

Looks great.
I suggest removing the USO link in the Monkey menu and changing the "Get user scripts"-button to your basic page.

This would be great. I'll put together a pull request when I get the time.

This fix is to be included in version 1.16. It would be helpful if you could install the newest beta and provide feedback; it should be released in a few days unless we hear of problems.

Was this included in 1.16beta6? Because the link still opens userscripts.org for me...

Wow I'm embarrassed now; yes there's several other places that link to us.o -- fix incoming. (Could have sworn I checked but obviously I did not.)

A few more references to USO on greasespot & wiki:

BTW: AMO beta channel says version 2.0beta1, but downloads 0.9.22.

What about http://www.webextender.net/? Is it worth mentioning?

I would recommend NOT using any of the userscripts.org mirrors. There seem to be quite a few out there run by different people and all look just like userscripts.org did. Users can install scripts from there at their own risk, but I don't think GM should officially direct users to a potentially dangerous site.

Ok, got it. Btw does any of the sites support fetching my own scripts from userscripts.org with history, comments and other details?

I doubt it. Most everyone has completely abandoned the site once it went down. Get what you truly need manually. All of the users you had from userscripts.org likely won't be getting any of your updates since it went down, so it is probably best to start fresh.

Please direct any further questions about userscripts.org to the greasemonkey-users mailing list or to one of the other userscript site forums.
