@marknadig

Hi,
In my .bash_profile
export PARALLEL_TEST_PROCESSORS=4

When I run
rake parallel:create

it creates test2-8 (expecting just through 4). Similarly, when I run
rake parallel:prepare

it fails w/ 'unknown database '...test6...', etc.

Works as expected if I
rake paralle:prepare[4]

Am I missing something? I'm using 0.6.16, but didn't see anything in the changelog since.

what happens if you do echo PARALLEL_TEST_PROCESSORS
irb + ENV['PARALLEL_TEST_PROCESSORS'] is it still there ?

@marknadig

Thanks for the reply.

irb: ENV['PARALLEL_TEST_PROCESSORS']
=> "4"

$ echo PARALLEL_TEST_PROCESSORS
PARALLEL_TEST_PROCESSORS

$ echo $PARALLEL_TEST_PROCESSORS
4

:/

Found it, thanks for the report :D

Now everything that goes through parallel_tests takes ENV into account, if no count is given.

--> 0.6.20
