The buffalo builds http://baruffio.com.
Give entries written in Markdown to the buffalo (it accepts
.markdown). The buffalo makes HTML. Each entry gets a
standalone page, and index.html includes every entry. There is no RSS
The buffalo requires pandoc. The buffalo has only been tested on pandoc 184.108.40.206 and 220.127.116.11.
Find a home for the buffalo:
Make a baby buffalo:
This will make a directory called "text" and one called "templates". The "text" directory is where you keep your Markdown files. The "templates" directory holds pandoc templates customized for the buffalo. A sample entry and sample templates will be created.
Make a new entry:
buffalo burp entry-name ENTRY-TITLE
Replace "entry-name" with the file name you wish for your entry. "ENTRY-TITLE" is the title of the entry, and is an optional argument (but don't forget to give it a title eventually).
Make the site:
If you delete entries from your "text" directory, the HTML versions
from the last build will still exist. Use
buffalo bath to remove
any HTML files in the root directory (other than index.html) that
don't have Markdown counterparts.
Don't count on the buffalo not fucking up your shit. It might happen.
