Hello @Marieag, sorry for the delay.

Its not straight forward at this point to make the correct colors be always chosen automatically, so I added options options to manually set the colors and size of labels. It not a perfect solution, but will work and is flexible. You can try it by installing the development version:

install.packages("devtools")
devtools::install_github("grunwaldlab/metacoder")

Hrm. I'm getting this very informative error when I try to install

It's strange, I usually update metacoder that way :/
