Gorilla Discord Bot

What is this?

Gorilla Discord Bot is a bot written in Node.js that randomly shows a picture of a gorilla in a given Discord server.

Can I use this to show images other than Gorillas?

You certainly can, but I'm not sure why you would want to do that.

Why are ffpmeg-binaries and node-opus listed as dependencies?

Gorilla Discord Bot is capable of many things, one of which is connecting to voice chat and playing sounds. If you don't wish to do this you can remove those dependencies from package.json.

Usage

Register your application with Discord, then make a .env file with a token variable with your client secret. Then:

npm install
npm start

Built With:

Express - Node application framework

Discord.js - Discord API interface
