Important note: The Ubuntu ISOs for 17.10 built in October 2017 contain a buggy kernel module which can break BIOS/firmware on certain laptops. see ReleaseNotes#Known issues and bug report. If you are planning to install 17.10, we recommend to wait until the Ubuntu team provides new ISOs with a fixed kernel version.
