Saw your question on reddit about getting your quiz to work in wordpress. Unfortunately, I don't know anything about how wordpress works under the hood. What I would try though, is to just include the 8 lines of code contained inside the body tags of quiz.html

I would first see if I could get the quiz working without css first. Don't include <html> or <body> tags in your post, they are already injected in your page by wordpress.

Also make sure to change the javascript src uri if you attempt posting it on wordpress to where ever you have it located on your server. When I was looking at the source of your broken page, I'm not the javascript was being referenced correctly.

Thanks for taking a look. Good point about trying it without CSS first and WordPress' automatic injection of < html> and < body> . That didn't do the trick.

I think your second point is exactly where I am struggling. I do not know how make this line of code from the html file link correctly:
< script type="text/javascript" src="/Users/brianhall/Documents/Coding/DynamicQuiz/DynamicQuizJS.js">

You stated to "change the javascript src url if you attempt posting it on wordpress to where ever you have it located on your server." I am a noob into programming any advice you can give me on how to get it on my server? Clearly, I have it stored locally and reference the local file in the code.

Ahhh, I was wondering where the URI /Users/brianhall/Documents/Coding/DynamicQuiz/DynamicQuizJS.js was coming from, lol. You need to sign in to cPanel or whatever admin frontend your host provides to manage your websites and place the javascripts and css somewhere in theblogs filesystem hierarchy somewhere at or below the applications root and then link to that.

For a real quick hack attempt, try pointing the javascript src at this URI:

Ok, that is exactly what I was thinking the problem was but had no idea how to get the js code up and hosted. I reckon I need to study into system administrations and hosting... Any thoughts on whether this is best done via book learning (any recommendations) or better served by browsing the internet.

But most importantly, thanks for the help, and the 'quick fix' as well. The code is working now, thanks!

I don't know where you're from, but I would head over to and google and search for wordpress user groups near where you live you could regularly attend. Getting live help from people more experienced is probably the best way to iron out nooby questions. They would have the best recommendation on what learning resources are worth your time as well.

Cool, I'll do that. Thanks again and hope karma sends good things back your way.
