but not willing to rewrite any history here... Date: Thu, 30 Jul 2015 15:30:18 -0700 From: GitHub Support <firstname.lastname@example.org> To: Hannes Mehnert <email@example.com> Subject: Re: from GitHub: a note about your repository Hi Hannes, I'm contacting you on behalf of GitHub Support regarding your repository https://github.com/hannesm/jackline. As stated in section G7 of our Terms of Service: We may, but have no obligation to, remove Content and Accounts containing Content that we determine in our sole discretion are unlawful, offensive, threatening, libelous, defamatory, pornographic, obscene or otherwise objectionable or violates any party's intellectual property or these Terms of Service. The content in question is a license file that includes discriminatory language towards individuals based on gender, race, and sexual orientation. We'd like to give you 24 hours to remove or change that content in your own repository. Please follow the steps in the following article to remove the content from the history: https://help.github.com/articles/remove-sensitive-data Once you've done that, please reply to this message to confirm the change. If the content remains up on the repository, we will need to disable it per our Terms of Service. Please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions whatsoever, about this or anything else. Thanks, GitHub Support https://help.github.com/articles/github-terms-of-service/ ------ You have created different licenses for different people based on their the race, gender, or sexual orientation. While you are free to make whatever criticisms of the Open Source community you wish, legal licenses that discriminate on the basis of race, gender, or sexual orientation are a violation on our Terms of Service.
