It's kind of weird that to supply a list of globals you use either -I or --globals I think one of them should change so the short name and alias are more similar.

+1 --ignore. In the doc, it actually doesn't refer to the long name, so possible you can get away with it. Maybe you should also update the doc with the long names as well.
