I recommend changing:

vm.communicate.execute("#{vm.config.solaris.suexec_cmd} /usr/sbin/poweroff")

to

vm.communicate.execute("#{vm.config.solaris.suexec_cmd} /usr/sbin/shutdown -y -i5 -g0")

in plugins/guests/solaris/guest.rb

It actually makes vagrant halt to work OK when using solaris guests (see #1505)

Can you better explain to me what this does?

It appears that /usr/sbin/poweroff just halts the system, (and powers down system in the case of a physical server), whereas /usr/sbin/shutdown runs the shutdown scripts in rc0 then follows the poweroff approach.

Is this likely to get merged? I'm happy to make a pull request out of it to speed things up.
