Every command returns a "Failed to find Vagrant!" message.
The problem applies only to version 1.7. Problem solved after installation 1.6.5 v.

I have the same issue on Win7. Path is set correctly even running C:\Vagrant\bin\vagrant.exe returns the error message (btw. I use a custom installation path C:\Vagrant\).

Same here. Win7_64, default installation path, custom VAGRANT_HOME.
I upgraded from 1.6.5. This is the error I get when running from cmd.
From Cygwin I get
C:\HashiCorp\Vagrant\embedded\bin\ruby.exe: No such file or directory -- D:/cygw in64/lib/vagrant/pre-rubygems.rb (LoadError)

I think the msi installer is not built correctly, since there is no C:\HashiCorp\Vagrant\embedded\gems dir, which is needed for everything

This is a known issue. We will update the Windows installer as soon as we identify the bug. For now, you can use the Vagrant 1.6.5 installer. Sorry about the inconvenience.

I'm just kinda surprised this passed any kind of testing for a major release? surely install + vagrant xxx would be the first thing anyone tested? I'm just saying...

@sekmun Sorry, our Windows build machine is in our office (which we do run before a release), but we're out of town right now on a corporate retreat. We're going to use an EC2 instance to start testing this now to get this fix out.

nah all good, downgraded to 1.6.5 for now - I don't care for windows much myself - usually on a mac - just task I'm on mandates a windows host. bummer.

Confirmed fixed on 1.7.1. Thanks Mitchell. You never need to say sorry when you work for something that only benefits the community. (But taking responsibility, personally, is the best and rarest developer attribute)
