This seems to fix the issue:

Network/Hackage/CabalGet/Setup.hs
-import Distribution.Setup (CompilerFlavor?(..))
+import Distribution.Setup (defaultCompilerFlavor, CompilerFlavor?(..))

  • tempHcFlavor = Nothing,
  • tempHcFlavor = defaultCompilerFlavor,

Oops. Didn't format the previous comment properly.

This seems to fix the issue:

Network/Hackage/CabalGet/Setup.hs
-import Distribution.Setup (CompilerFlavor(..))
+import Distribution.Setup (defaultCompilerFlavor, CompilerFlavor(..))
- tempHcFlavor = Nothing,
+ tempHcFlavor = defaultCompilerFlavor,

cabal-get is dead, but this patch is included in cabal-install.
