haskell-process-do-type adds parenthesis around alpha-numeric names and inserts them when used with a prefix argument.

For example it will insert the type signature

(foo) :: t -> t

for the function

foo x = x

Yeah, I noticed this after accepting #48. Needs more cleverness.
