I am having issues with the game freezing when I open chests with potions in them. Chests with health and weapons do not crash the game. I also encountered a crash when I picked up the white crystal. I tried not to pick up the white crystal and exit the black caverns, but the game still crashed. the game also crashes when I talk to any other vendor that is not the blacksmith. I run windows 7.
Can you try updating your graphics card driver? I think the bug the hardware specific. If it works please do tell us.
I have a feeling @Lucrenzia's computer doesn't like the underscore in the file names (e..g red_potion, white_crystal, leslies_box)
Probably, but past test have shown that is doesn't fix it.

What version of the game are you playing? 0.3.4?

I think we can assume AMD broke their stuff again.
While fixing this, we replaced it with something we thought was working, this.

K, looking over everything, the easiest way to fix this is to use the "Damn You ATI" fix that the love developers have provided
Dammit, failed at my copy pasting.... and I can't find the other issue I wanted to show.
Summary was that back then we replaced the '_' by a space and ran in to the same error not knowing it was a variation of the same bug.
@Lucrenzia I'm going to make a special build of the game just for you to test. Stay tuned.
Ok, I put in a 20min with the custom build and it looks safe on my end though I don't run an ATI card.
Question is then: do we use this or do we attempt to port the game to use Love 0.9?
@DaNiwa We're definitely going to port to Love 0.9 at some point. The question is how soon @kyleconroy intends for that to happen - could be an urgent thing because of this ticket, could be a year from now in the case of a more casual migration.
Yeah time frame was more of the issue in question. It really does depend on how fast we want to try to do it.
