MultiMap ConcurrentModificationExceptions #1882

Are MultiMaps supposed to throw ConcurrentModificationExceptions? If so, what is the proper way to avoid them?

I'm seeing the exception below in logs occasionally. Running 3.1.5.

It is caused because the collection in the multimap escapes the partition thread.
