Signals

Here's how I think signals should behave (following RailPro)

  • when the head car enters a green sub signal tile, it turns amber
  • when the head car enters a main signal tile, it turns red
  • when the tail car has just left a main auto signal tile, if the previous main signal was auto, it should be set to its previous aspect and the sub signal immediately behind it should also be set to its previous aspect
  • when the tail car has just left a sub signal tile, the previous signal should be set to its previous aspect if it is a sub signal (note: we don't want to change the aspect of a sub signal if we've since passed a main signal)
  • when the train arrives at a primary station its tail car will have just left a red main manual signal. If the signal behind it is a sub signal, set it to its previous aspect.

TODO: think about what should happen when a train reverses
