Channel name/URL recognition mix up. #440

Channels such as #xchat.de get recognised as the URL xchat.de (which forwards to porn, apparently, but I haven't the time for that now).

This is with the 2.9.5 alpha from Jan 19 2013, will comment on the bug again with a more up to date alpha build.

Forget my previous comment of two days ago. Please try instead RichardHitt/issue440a -- much simpler and I believe it is a solid fix. @orium -- if you don't object, in a day or two I will close your previous pull request(s) without merging, in favor of this fix.
