Hi there,

Is there any reason why hexchat has a minimal window size on Windows? It's hard to keep an eye on it when tiling several windows since some times it won't fit on the desired space

How small do you propose, I'd say it's quite usable at even a really small size.

Edit: Well I see you meant there is a minimum... it's like a 100x20 window, how is that too large?

My specific configuration is 1600x900, and I believe the main windows
won't go smaller than 400px. I tried to set the size to about 300px which
is a third of my screen. I don't know if there are other (smaller
configurations) but I think users should be able to decide the window size.

I'm able to get it to a fifth of my desktop's height (1920x1200) but that might be because the minimal size depends on the layout of channel tabs/tree, etc.

Actually, I just tried this solution and it's working. However there's
some clutter with many tabs are open. Perhaps being able to contract/stack
the tabs opera style or change the minimal size for tree?

Edit: Never mind, I just realized I can put the tabs vertically on the left, which allows me to quickly see if there's an update on one of them or not.

One way for keeping track of multiple channels is to use Extra Alerts -> Blink Tray Icon / Blink Taskbar for each channel tab you want to be alerted for. (This doesn't solve your window size problem of course.)
