itools is a Python library, it groups a number of packages into a single

  itools.core             itools.log              itools.stl
  itools.csv              itools.odf              itools.tmx
  itools.datatypes           itools.uri
  itools.fs               itools.pdf              itools.web
  itools.gettext          itools.pkg              itools.workflow
  itools.git              itools.python           itools.xapian

The scripts included are:

Software    Version  Used by          Home

matplotlib     0.91

Note: you will find packages like pkg-config and glib compiled for Windows
on (don't forget to check
the "dependencies" directory).

For indexing office documents like PDF, DOC and XLS, you can install libraries
and Python packages. They are not mandatory for installing itools.

Software    Version  Format           Home
----------  -------  ---------------  ----------------------------------------
xlrd          0.6.1  XLS
poppler      0.10.4  PDF
wv2           0.2.3  DOC

If you are reading this instructions you probably have already unpacked
the itools tarball with the command line:

  $ tar xzf itools-X.Y.Z.tar.gz

And changed the working directory this way:

  $ cd itools-X.Y.Z

So now to install itools you just need to type this:

  $ python install

Unit Tests

To run the unit tests just type:

  $ cd test
  $ python
