Bindii is a fun and interactive mobile app that teaches kids about our native flora and fauna while they explore outside.
Kids can find, identify and collect native animal and plant characters using an augmented reality experience (think Pokemon Go). Kids will learn about the character, where they live and how to find them. When kids then find a real world equivalent of our characters and upload a photo, they will receive points and bonuses towards rewards in the app.
Fill up an interactive botanical zoo and watch it flourish. Track progress against friends and compete for bounties on unique flora and fauna (including dangerous grasses and fruitflies)

Our mission is to educate the younger generations of Australians, helping preserve the rich biodiversity of Australia’s wildlife. We seek to enrich the lives of our future generations and that of the ‘bush’ through informed exploration. By giving the community, especially those in their formative years, ownership of Australia’s environmental future we aim to create a bond between human and bushland. Through the efforts of the community we aim to compile a repository of data that will in turn allow our government to implement effective strategies to safeguard our environment.
