A percentage stacked area with missing values causes bad rendering:

Unfortunately it seems this problem still exists in 4.0.1 when stacking is 'normal' (note, only the two series on the right of the vertical dashed-line are parts of the same stack, the darker series on the left is on its own stack)

test1

This is worse when connectNulls is not true

test2

Here is the Fiddle http://jsfiddle.net/Vtx2A/ based on the official Stacked Area demo, where I removed the last 2 data points in the last 3 series. And here is another http://jsfiddle.net/hGJb8/1/ where connectNulls is used (I would expect the Africa/gray area to extend to the bottom of the chart, not leaving that empty triangle).

Thanks for any help

This is a very reduced example of a stacked area (mode: percent/normal) with missing data points:
http://jsfiddle.net/UFazd/1/
http://jsfiddle.net/UFazd/2/
they both dont look correct, i would expect them to behave like this:
http://jsfiddle.net/UFazd/3/

Reopening this.

  • First, the demo case fails in 3.0.6 (commit 5e2409f), where the missing point is plotted too high.
  • Another change is brought in in 4.0.0 (commit 5bd36bc) where the missing point is plotted too low.
