In this example: http://jsfiddle.net/5wZAJ/ , the open and high values are the same and the low and close values are the same.
There is a line straight thru the white candle stick where it should not be one.

Expected: A clean box with no whiskers.

The example has bad data; the high value is lower than the low value. Out of the OHLC values, the H value must be the highest, the L value lowest and the O and C values must be in between these.

i don't think that's the issue. edited the fiddle: http://jsfiddle.net/XqgbP/1/

as you can see the HIGH is always tha same as an OPEN or a CLOSE, but the candle has always a top shadow...

It looks correct to me: http://jsfiddle.net/highcharts/XqgbP/2/. Please specify on a screenshot what you think is wrong.

see the top shadows i circled in red color, they shoudnt be:
first candle: open, high, low and close are all exactly "1", so no top and no lower shadow should be displayed, only a line would be correct
second candle: open and high are "1", close is lower and the low was even lower. so lower shadow is correct, but there shouldnt be a top shadow (because high and open are the same)
third candle: open and low are the same, close and high are the same. so there shouldnt be any shadow. bottom is correct, but theres a shadow on the top. why?
fourth candle: same as first candle but with "0.5" instead of "1". again, no shadow should be displayed. but there is one, as you can see in the screenshot

shouldnt the top of all candles look like the thirds candle bottom? (circled green)

I can see it now, but only in Firefox and not as pronounced as in your screenshot. I'm committing a fix that the whiskers aren't drawn at all if the values are equal.

Fixed Highstock regression after fixing #460, where animating candles…
…tick would give JS errors if it had no whiskers before. Closes #2094.
