Try this:
http://jsfiddle.net/gh/get/library/pure/highcharts/highcharts/tree/master/samples/highcharts/plotoptions/series-stacking-column/

for this graph, after adding threshold: null, no graph is displayed.

Highcharts.chart('container', {
    chart: {
        type: 'column'
    },
    xAxis: {
        categories: ['Jan', 'Feb', 'Mar', 'Apr', 'May', 'Jun', 'Jul', 'Aug', 'Sep', 'Oct', 'Nov', 'Dec']
    },

    plotOptions: {
        series: {
            stacking: 'normal',
            threshold: null
        }
    },

    series: [{
        data: [29.9, 71.5, 106.4, 129.2, 144.0, 176.0, 135.6, 148.5, 216.4, 194.1, 95.6, 54.4]
    }, {
        data: [144.0, 176.0, 135.6, 148.5, 216.4, 194.1, 95.6, 54.4, 29.9, 71.5, 106.4, 129.2]
    }],

    tooltip: {
        pointFormat: '{series.name}: <b>{point.y}</b> ({point.percentage:.1f}%)<br/>'
    }
});

Hi @netwang

Thank you for reporting this issue.

Workaround:
Set startFromTreshold to false: http://jsfiddle.net/hnf5ogw6/

Internal note:
It's a regression after cc29bc5
