Create a bar chart like this one and display it in IE8:

var chart = new Highcharts.Chart({
chart: {
renderTo: 'container',
defaultSeriesType: 'bar'
xAxis: {
categories: ['Jan', 'Feb', 'Mar', 'Apr', 'May', 'Jun', 'Jul', 'Aug', 'Sep', 'Oct', 'Nov', 'Dec']
series: [{
data: [29.9, 71.5, 106.4, 129.2, 144.0, 176.0, 135.6, 148.5, 216.4, 194.1, 95.6, 54.4]
}, {
data: [194.1, 95.6, 54.4, 29.9, 71.5, 106.4, 129.2, 144.0, 176.0, 135.6, 148.5, 216.4]

Try to hover over the bars. They don't highlight, no tooltip appears.
If you hover on the left portion of the chart and are lucky, you might see a tooltip appear sometimes.
It seems that the mouse position calculation in relation to the chart is wrong.

This is with Highcharts 2.2.0

It works fine in IE9.

Tried with the latest Highcharts code but the chart is completely broken in IE8, the bars are vertical instead of horizontal and the tooltip also doesn't work.

This is not working for me still in IE8:

That's related to some changes I did to the tooltip formatting logic yesterday. Fix coming soon.
