I just forward my mail with Honza to HERE

Hi, Honza

I'm one of snippets contributors, Meng Zhuo, I had change my snippet engine into UltiSnip and using vim-snippets in the same time.
However, I found there is a snippets repos in UltiSnip, too.
I'm confused about what if I want to contribute some snippets which repo should I pull to.
Or, Which one of you guys is upstream of these snippets?

Best Regards,
Meng Zhuo

  1. Use whatever works for you
  2. The author of UltiSnips will join vim-snippets in the near future.
Eg garbas/vim-snipmate#114 search for "I agree, vim-snippets seems like the common ground."
  3. I agree its unkown what should be done right now. I just moved UltiSnips snippets to vim-snippets to make people aware of it.

I think there was another reference. I'm too lazy too look it up. I'll notify SirVer about this thread.

The author of UltiSnips, @SirVer, is already a member of this project and I assigned this ticket to him. Thanks

UltiSnips will move it's snippets here with the next release - I do not want to break casual pullers without having a clear 3.0 marking backwards incompatible changes. So for the moment, I think SirVer/UltiSnips should get the pull requests. Closing this for now, I'll reopen if more discussion is needed.
