  • Distribution: debian unstable
  • Desktop environment: no DE
  • GTK+ 3 version: 3.20.5

LibreOffice menus, when using the GTK3 integration, have some issues:

  • wrong color for the toolbar background
  • wrong text color for the main menus toolbar (in the actual menu content, the foreground color is correct)
  • wrong menu height compared to other GTK2/3 applications (a few pixels higher, see #535 for the previous mention)

See the following (loimpress):

I should mention that the screenshot is of "Arc Darker".

This is a problem with the Libreoffice GTK 3 port. The port is still incomplete, and GTK 3.20 broke it even further.
As a workaround you can make LO use GTK 2 by adding export SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk to /etc/profile

I actually moved from GTK2 to GTK3 manually, as the GTK2 port seem to
have some rendering and performance issues (specific to LO) which are
gone in the GTK3 version.

Earlier versions seemed incomplete, but I didn't notice any other major
issue except toolbar/menubar coloring in the last few weeks. I genuinely
believed this was some LO quirk that needed specific theme tweaks.
