The "Getting started with JOSM" suggest to download a OSM sample from http://learnosm.org/files/ but this link goes in 404.

Couldn't find the file in any of the branches. @jeffhaack - could you recover the sample.osm file in question from the old WordPress based site

I already send sample.osm to learnosm@hotosm.org couple days ago. But, here
it is: http://db.tt/CSYf7pEX

@lxbarth do you know the plan for this /files/ page?

Contributor

lxbarth commented Apr 11, 2013

@yohanboniface - the sample.osm file in the getting started with josm guide needs to be linked to the file posted by @emirhartato - not to /files/

Please don't host it on Dropbox. The link doesn't look particularly trustworthy and has lots of potential for typos, especially when we are dealing with beginners in this part of the tutorial. And I don't like the idea that it is hosted on someone's personal Dropbox where there is no chance to track changes (not that I don't trust you, but it would be good to know if we need to change tutorials when the file is changed).

well the reason I uploaded to dropbox is because I expecting someone else
to upload it on Github. I was on my phone and can't upload it to Github at
the moment.

cheers

We have the file, but I'm not sure where it is supposed to go. Could someone help?

Pushed a fix. Updated en, de, es - rest of translations need an update to link + slight copy changes.

The file was incorrect, but I've replaced it with the original version.
