As noted on this thread many of us are having issues with FMV hangs in FF4 The Complete Collection.

The first place in the game this occurs is right before heading into the underworld for the first time. User zarlox on the forums was kind enough to provide his save and system data.

Steps to reproduce:

Load up the lv33 save, enter the airship and land in the hole in the mountains. This will take you to a sequence which ends with the airship crash FMV.

Symptom:

Screen becomes garbled, and after a few seconds turns either all black or all white. This seems to affect the above mentioned FMV but also other FMVs from that point forward in the game.

Notes:

Confirmed occurring on both Windows and Linux, all builds after v0.9.1-1968-g525ac13 (as noted by solarmystic on the forums).

Thanks for the save in the convenient position. Surprisingly the jp save seems to work across regions too.
