In the last year of building Kendo UI, we have learned a lot about the mobile web, and how to "fix" the rather sordid landscape of Webkit implementations.

These are not our specific implementations, but rather the root issues and what steps can be taken to mitigate them.

Check out this video from JSCONF EU which goes over the content, and this abridged presentation.

The article would be joint between myself and the engineer who has done most of the sweating and bleeding.

@burkeholland we are updating out /mobile page at the moment if we can get it from smashing I am pretty sure we can find a home for it :)


Alright - looks like we are going to pull it from Smashing. It was originally written in February and needs to be updated badly as several of the items have been better documented since the beginning of this year.

Here is a link to the working draft that I'm going to be updating with @bundyo.

I'm also not terribly keen on the format, so I'm going to revisit that too.
