Description
vis.js is not handling large graphs well and hasn't been updated for 12+ months.

VivaGraphJS, d3, and visjs are fairly responsive. VivaGraphJS doesn't get updated too often can end up abandoned.
d3 is super popular and is one of the fastest, so probably a good first alternative to investigate
