Window rule to remember last size/position #1543

how would you even imagine that being tracked? Just by class? |

Could the feature request in #1426 also solve this one here? Because that one seems a bit more predictable (you know exactly when to save something and therefore where to save something.) |
If you use layout window you do not need to know window positions but just in what order to open them. For floating windows you do need to know. Currently I have a command line script that open the right windows in order on my workspaces to handle this. |
Some windows don't remember their size and I don't know how big they will be until trigger floating. Sometimes they keep the size of tiling in floating state. That's quite annoying. |
I have the similar problem. I use Thunar as file manager and set it as floating window. Every time I open it, it shows up in the minimum size, I have to use |
I would like a window rule that just remembers the last size/position of the window and restore it when the window is opened.
