[ ] Other (Please describe in detail)

Current Behavior

  1. I focus parent to some desired point
  2. I move scratchpad on the focused parent
  3. Later on, I get the scratchpad window (it's a parent node)
  4. I move to another workspace
  5. I try to get the scratchpad window, but only the focused window of the scratchpad, not all the tree nodes appear.

Desired Behavior

At step 5, I think the whole window (a parent container of a few windows) should appear, not the one I happened to focus on.

Environment

Output of i3 --moreversion 2>&-:

i3 version: Binary i3 version: 4.16.1 (2019-01-27) © 2009 Michael Stapelberg and contributors
(Getting version from running i3, press ctrl-c to abort…)
Running i3 version: 4.16.1 (2019-01-27) (pid 4798)
Loaded i3 config: /home/heman/.config/i3/config (Last modified: Mon Mar 18 19:36:32 2019, 1883666 seconds ago)

The i3 binary you just called: /usr/bin/i3
The i3 binary you are running: i3
- Linux Distribution & Version: Arch Linux
- Are you using a compositor (e.g., xcompmgr or compton): Compton

Additional Information

I think the behavior is from https://github.com/i3/i3/blob/next/src/scratchpad.c#L143 where it moves the connection, not its parent to the current workspace.

Would logic like that of https://github.com/i3/i3/blob/next/src/scratchpad.c#L51 be the correct approach?
