Preflight Checklist

Before you begin...

• Ensure your AppleTV is on one of the [supported firmwares] (https://github.com/iBaa/PlexConnect/wiki/Supported-Apple-TV-devices-and-firmwares).
• Ensure you have Python 2.7.9+ installed (python 3.x is not supported).
• [Download the latest version of PlexConnect] (https://github.com/iBaa/PlexConnect/releases/latest).
• Ensure your PlexConnect machine has a fixed IP - ie. set an IP reservation on your DHCP master. See this [Lifehacker Guide] (http://lifehacker.com/5822605/how-to-set-up-dhcp-reservations-so-you-never-have-to-check-an-ip-address-again) for additional hints.
• Ensure a recent [Plex Media Server] (https://www.plex.tv) is installed, running and has access to all your media.

Setup your aTV

• PlexConnect parametrization: open trailers (no plex libraries will be shown) and navigate to the right until Settings. Then login with your plex account

After these actions plex libraries should be visible. If not please read Q7 in the forum

• Empty libraries: if the ATV is not signed-in to plex.tv you need to authorize the PlexConnect IP, as well as ATV IP, using Plex Media Server network settings
