Problem after upgrading a project from 3.5 to 4.0

Hi,

After using Wisej-4.UpgradeTool and upgrading nuggets from Wisej-3* to Wisej-4*, my project is running ok.

I'm using VS 2022; in designer many Forms crash on opening with: Method not found: 'System.Drawing.SizeF System.Drawing.Graphics.MeasureString(System.String, System.Drawing.Font, System.Drawing.SizeF, System.Drawing.StringFormat)'.

Please advice

Hi Adrian,

if you installed from the VS Marketplace please do the following:

Uninstall Wisej.NET Extension.
Download from https://wisej.com/builds/
Install the VSIX from there.

4.0.5 in the marketplace has some issues and we are currently working on resolving them.

I can provide you one of the forms with that problem and you can test it yourself. If you have a vsix file that works on it, please send it .

project opens fine here.

As written in the comment:
Please uninstall Wisej.NET 4.0.5 via Manage Extensions.
Redownload from https://wisej.com/builds
Install that version

After uninstall, redownload and reinstall Wisej.NET-4-VS2022.vsix the  error is

Value cannot be null. Parameter name: instance

It seems that something is really messed-up on my pc. Look what's happening when, in a new wisej 4 project, I tried to drad&drop an upload control on windows surface. Please advice.

Go to Extensions / Manage Extensions / Installed
Select Wisej.NET and Uninstall
Close VS to let the uninstall run
Download from https://wisej.com/builds
Run the VSIX

Done.

Hi Frank. After a long weekend, I installed Visual Studio 2026 and Wisej4 extension. Now it’s working everything. If possible, I’d like to repair somehow Visual Studio 2022; if you find a way please inform me. Thank you for your support.
